BIOGRAPHY

Alexandra Grazioli is Director in charge of the Lisbon Registration Service within the WIPO Trademarks and Designs Sector. It oversees the management, development and promotion of the Lisbon system, as well as the development and implementation of projects relating to geographical indications. Since joining WIPO in 2014, she has worked as a senior advisor and then as director of the Office of the Director General.
Before joining the Organization, Ms. Grazioli worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, first as a trademark examiner and then as senior legal advisor, where she was responsible for the coordination of WIPO issues and negotiations on geographical indications. Finally, she served as advisor responsible for intellectual property issues at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva. As representative and head of the Swiss delegation, she participated in several meetings and negotiations devoted to all areas of intellectual property and issues relating to the governance and budget of WIPO and the WTO (TRIPS Agreement and Doha Round Negotiations).
