President of the Moroccan Association for the Geographical Indication of Argane Oil (AMIGHA)

BIOGRAPHY
  •  President of AMIGHA since 2014 to date: Moroccan Association of Geographical Indication of Argan Oil. In 2009 “Argane” was recognized as PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) in Morocco; it became one of the first African geographical indications to be protected as agricultural products and foodstuffs.
     Former President of ORIGIN from 2015 to 2017: the largest global alliance of Geographical Indications in Geneva which has the role of leading campaigns for the effective protection and implementation of rights arising from GIs at the national, regional and internationally and to Promote GIs as a sustainable development tool for producers and communities.
     Vice President of oriGIn for Africa.
     National and International Consultant and Expert since 2008 to date for the implementation of the Argane PGI (Protected Geographical Indication), a tool for promoting and enhancing local products for the benefit of Farmers.
     April / May 2018: Support for 8 female cooperatives members of GIE on good manufacturing practices for Argane Oil, IGP traceability tools and the administrative and financial management of the Cooperative as part of the project of climate change financed by GIZ.
  •  September 22-25, 2019: Support and training on preliminary programs for the establishment of a quality management system and the implementation of the IGP for the benefit of the 18 cooperatives within their UCFA TISSALIWINE union producing the argan oil and Agricultural Products.
     Post Alpha program coordinator in 2014 and 2015 funded by the World Bank for the promotion of income-generating activities on behalf of beneficiaries of the Literacy program in rural areas in collaboration with the ANLCA (National Agency for the Fight against Illiteracy).
     Former President of UCFA from 2008 to 2016: Union of Women’s Cooperatives for the production and marketing of Argan oil and agricultural products which brings together 18 cooperatives and more than 1,200 women.
     Vice-president of the Regional Association of Women Farmers of Souss Massa.
