BIOGRAPHY
From 2009 to 2012: higher studies at the faculty of administrative and management sciences at the University of Labé (Guinea Conakry)
Current position: Facilitator of the IG café Ziama Macenta
Different tasks accomplished within the Group:
• Raise awareness among producers about respecting the technical routes for producing quality coffee while respecting the specifications;
• Defend the quality of Ziama-Macenta coffee GI in the Ziama massif area;
• Promote coffee from the demarcated GI (Geographic Indication) Ziama-Macenta coffee zone, with a view to selling it at a more remunerative price for producers;
• Protect the environment by teaching good agroforestry practices to producers;
• Support the sustainable development of the GI Ziama-Macenta coffee sector to improve the living conditions of members;
• Protection of the label through scrupulous compliance with specifications and the fight against fraud and counterfeiting.
Major experiences:
• March 2024: study trip to France on communication and marketing techniques on GIs organized by CIRAD through OAPI;
• April 2024: participation in the international conference on the development of GIs in Africa, organized by OAPI in Douala;
• May 2022: participation in the 2nd edition of the African training on Geographical Indications abbreviated “Africa – GI Training” at the Denis Ekani Intellectual Property Academy (APIDE), located at the OAPI headquarters in Yaoundé, Cameroon .
• June 2022: participation in the interministerial conference of OAPI member states on the promotion of Geographical Indications in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
